The ancient church and Thorpe Hall dominate the landscape on the edge of a plateau with spectacular views overlooking the Haddiscoe Marshes and the valley of the River Waveney. Parts of the church dates from the C11. Saxon round tower with Norman bell stage and two bells dating from the C15 and C17. The chancel was rebuilt in brick in 1838. Small monument to Thomas London died 1661 whose family lived at Thorpe Hall.
