The Church of St. Andrew's is a Grade II* listed building dating back to the 13th century. It was extensively restored and extended in the 1860s and 1870s with high quality workmanship. The result is a unique balance of medieval and Gothic styles, complimented by stunning Victorian stained glass. The East Window, which dominates the interior of the church, is described by Pevsner as "one of the most beautiful of its time in England" and is the only surviving full church window designed by Albert Moore. In June 2023 a new window was installed in the chad chapel replacing plain glass. It represents a snapshot of life in Thursford. Not only does it feature images of local rural life but if you look closely you will notice personal links such as a family pet dog, a rugby ball, and cheese and wine. A much earlier window can be found in the south aisle. It was installed to honour Queen Elizabeth I ahead of her tour of Norfolk in 1579. Unfortunately she never actually arrived! Have a look at the interesting graves in the churchyard. All visitors are very welcome.
