St Andrew's Church is completely tucked away from the village street and the path opens out into a delightful scene with the church perched within a picturesque churchyard, as if the visitor was entering a secret garden. Its 13th century character (pre the Black Death) is apparent in its plain tower and lancet windows. It does have Norman origins, however. The rustic nave and chancel sit under a single roof and the rood screen no longer survives. Interesting features include the English altar with its screen, 15th century poppy head pew ends which have been incorporated into later benches, a trefoil-headed piscina and a stepped-sill sedilia. This church is in the care of the Diocesan Churches Trust.
